Contra Online: Meet Signal Vanguard

Signal Vanguard is Retro Arcade's original run-and-gun campaign. Twenty authored routes change enemy placements, platforms, hazards, weapon pickups, and extraction goals.

Each zone has its own color palette and scenery. Complete the guard objective, reach the beacon, and continue to the next mission.

Signal Vanguard is independently created with original art, code, and missions. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the owners of Contra.

How to Play

  1. 01Start at the Copper Docks and clear 20 original missions across four signal zones.
  2. 02Move, jump, and dash through hazards. Fire at sentries, airborne drones, and turrets while dodging their shots.
  3. 03Collect limited-use spread and beam weapons or a health shield. Defeat the mission's required guards, then reach its signal beacon.
  4. 04A failed mission can be retried without losing earlier clears in this page session. Clearing mission 20 opens unrestricted campaign replay.
